Presbyterian Women of Saint James

All women who are a part of Saint James Presbyterian Church are also a part of Presbyterian Women. We are connected to Presbyterian Women of North puget Sound and to the Synod of Alaska and Northwest. Our group is part bible study and part fellowship. We meet at 10:30am on the last Tuesday of each month during the school year.

We hope to see you there.

Horizons Bible Study

Currently we are studying Joshua, a Journey of Faith by Mary Mikhael. Presbyterian Women all over the world will embark on this amazing study of this challenging book of the Bible during the 2009-2010 academic year. The author is an elder in the Presbyterian Church in Beirut, Lebanon, a graduate of Haigazian University and the Near East School of Theology. She also has a Christian Education degree from Union PSCE and a doctorate in education degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York. Mary was born in Syria and spent most of her life in Lebanon.  She understands the challenges and struggles of studying the book of Joshua and believes that we must discover the living message in the Bible which will require openess to the Holy Spirit.

Fellowship Luncheons

Presbyterian Women of Saint James also holds luncheons at noon, following the Horizons Magazine bible study. This is usually a pot-luck salad lunch most months, but we also dine out occasionally and in the Summer we sometimes picnic on Lummi Island.
